In the latest edition of the Funeral Service Times, a report states that the average funeral now costs over £7000. At Sun Rising, without a funeral director, the average funeral costs around £2000. And with a good local funeral director, it should cost no more than £3200.
Of course, you can pay as much as you like on a funeral, opting for expensive memorials and all the bells and whistles, but there is no need to do so.
The report was made by an insurance company, so perhaps there is an agenda about how much one should be putting into a pre-payment plan?
